ABOUT Rev. Dr. Mary Lou Moore
The Rev. Dr. Mary Lou Moore has been blessed with a five-tier career. Rev. Dr. Moore is an
Associate Minister at Mt. Tabor African Methodist Episcopal Church, 961-71 North 7th Street,
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19123. Rev. Dr. Moore is also the President of 7th Street Senior
Housing, Inc., Sole General Partner for Cyber Village, L.P. She is the Vice President of Mt. Tabor
Community Education & Economic Development Corporation (Mt. Tabor CEED). Rev. Moore is
the founder of International Christian & Community Awareness Network and provides Biblical and
Financial Services to low-socio-economic persons. Rev. Dr. Moore was previously an appointed
Notary Public in the State of Pennsylvania, as well as the Mayor’s Office of Community Services
(MOCS). She is on the staff of Citywide Interdenominational Christian Institute (CWICTI) and
served as Coordinator, Philadelphia Hope In The Cities/Healing The Heart of America, and
participated in honest conversations in many urban cities and abroad on race, reconciliation and
responsibility.
In addition, she is a businesswoman in her own right, and for over twenty some years served
as Regional Vice President and Senior Regional Manager, with Primerica Financial Services,
whose parent Company was CitiGroup, a Fortune 500 Firm listed on the NYSE. They specialized
in asset management focusing on reducing a family’s total debt and creating a total strategy for
retirement and financial independence. She was a licensed Securities Broker, and licensed
insurance broker. Rev. Dr. Moore has served on several commissions and civic boards in Philadelphia and is very involved in her community. She is a community activist and still finds time to fellowship and minister to family members, neighbors and friends.
Rev. Dr. Moore gives God the Glory and testifies that without the love and support of her family members, especially her husband, it would not be possible for her to minister throughout the United States and abroad. She loves to travel and says, “ having Jesus Christ as Lord of one’s life and living in obedience to God’s commandments, God will give you the desire of your heart.” Dr, Moore has visited most of the major urban cities and states in the U.S. and traveled extensively abroad, including a Greece Island Cruise, Turkey, Israel, Aruba, Hawaii, Bermuda, Nassau/Paradise Island, Bahamas, Birmingham England, London, Geneva Switzerland and Paris France.
Rev. Dr. Moore enjoys being “God’s Spiritual Woman,” and thanks God for allowing her to become a balanced black woman living in America today. Her life Scripture is, “Commit thy way unto the Lord, trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass.” (Psalms 37:5)
Rev. Dr. Moore is married to Brother Samuel Moore, Jr. and has four children (Sharon, Jackie, Tyrone & Byron), five grandchildren (Dorian Duane, Joshua, Paul, Christopher & Jordan), and 9 great-grand children (Lou, Laneisha & Tatyana, Samantha Jadyn, Ava & Melanie, Jocelyn, Jadelyn & Jasmine).
